The Riverside Campground is located right along the banks of the Mississippi River. One of very few campgrounds along the Mississippi River that you can walk from your campsite to the river to fish. One of the largest pools (26 miles long)  between Lock and Dam 17 and 18 on the Mississippi River, plus Port Louisa Refuge (1,400 acres) is just north of town. The area attracts boaters, fishermen, jet ski enthusiasts, hunters and campers, plus fishermen come from all over to enter the numerous fishing tournaments throughout the year.
